The Aurora Public Schools' class of 2016 was not shy when it came to applying for scholarships and grants for college. This year’s graduating seniors took full advantage of the opportunity to earn dollars -- totaling more than $13 million -- for their higher education. APS 2020: Shaping the Future Strategic Plan - Core Belief:
The APS Long Range Facilities Advisory Committee recently presented recommendations to the Board of Education for a five-year facilities and technology improvement program. The APS Board of Education is considering this program as the basis for a potential bond measure to fund new schools as well as building and technology improvements at every school in the district.
The Board will continue to review the recommendation and make a decision on whether to authorize a November 2016 bond election later this summer. To view the Board presentation, including the LRFAC recommendations, visit suppsvcs.aurorak12.org/facilities-process/.
Aurora Public Schools invites global badge leaders, educational and industry pioneers, and curious learners to the 2016 Digital Badge Summit in Aurora, Colorado!

This one-day event will bring together some of the brightest and most inspiring Digital Badge thought leaders on the planet for highly interactive learning and sharing. Attendance is limited to 300 attendees. In addition to providing breakfast and lunch, the Badge Summit will offer attendees a facilitated Dream Makers' Lounge for expert help in Badge system design, electronic poster sessions, two keynotes and concurrent sessions and panels along four curated strands:
